Sales Register Codes window: Hardware tab
The
Hardware tab allows you to attach individual peripheral devices to your register. You need to set up the devices in the
Sales Device Codes window before they will be available for selection here.
Hardware
The devices listed in this column are devices that are available for use with your Point of Sale system. For each device you’ll be using in the Hardware column, select the Device Code from the Device column.
• Bar Code Reader: If you are using a bar code reader device with this register, select the Device Code from the Lookup in the Device column.
• Cash Drawer: If this register operates a cash drawer, select the Cash Drawer Device Code from the Lookup in the same row of the Device column.
• Customer Display: If this register operates a customer pole display device, select the Customer Display Device Code from the Lookup in the Device column.
• Check Franker: If you are using a check franker device with this register, select the Check Franker Device Code from the Lookup in the Device column.
• Weight Scale: If you are using a weight scale device with this register, select the Device Code associated with that weight scale from the Lookup in the Device column.
For each device listed in the Hardware column that you’ll be using with your Point of Sale system, select the Device Code for that device from the Lookup in the Device column.
When you select a Device Code in the
Device column, the description of the device as specified in the
Sales Device Codes window will appear automatically in the
Description column.
