IN Stock window: Sales Info tab
The Sales Info tab allows you to enter and view miscellaneous sales information for the selected stock item. You can also use this tab to attach a Non-Inventory Code to the stock item. Once you attach the non-inventory item, it will automatically appear in either of the sales entry windows whenever you sell this stock item.
Product Type 
You can use this field to differentiate various categories of stock items. Be sure you type the same product type for products you want to group together. The Product Type functions as a sort option and appears on several Inventory reports.
If you selected the Allow copy of stock item information and sales information check box in Module Preferences, after you save the stock item, the product type you entered will stay in the field to speed up stock item entry.
Tax Code From AvaTax 
This field is only available if you are integrated to AvaTax. Enter the AvaTax Tax Code you want to use with this stock item.
If you leave this field blank and there is no Tax Code on the IN Code, the default taxable AvaTax Tax Code is used.
If you selected the Allow copy of stock item information and sales information check box in Module Preferences, after you save the stock item, the Tax Code you entered will stay in the field to speed up stock item entry.
Discount 
Enter a six-character code in the Discount box. This is the second half of the entire Discount Code you establish when you select Pricing > Define Discount Pricing from the Sales navigation pane.
This Discount Code and the Discount Code from Accounts Receivable work together to provide an automatic discount and/or markup for specific customers when they buy particular Inventory items.
If you selected the Allow copy of stock item information and sales information check box in Module Preferences, after you save the stock item, the discount you entered will stay in the field to speed up stock item entry.
Catalog Number 
Enter a Catalog Number for this stock item if you want to sort and catalog inventory items.
GL Key 
If you are using Interface Codes, enter a key for this stock item. You must have General Ledger installed and integrated with Inventory to use Interface Codes.
If you selected the Allow copy of stock item information and sales information check box in Module Preferences, after you save the stock item, the key you entered will stay in the field to speed up stock item entry.
GL Sales Income 
Enter the GL Sales Income account that sales of this item should post to. If you leave this box blank, it will affect the income account attached to the Sales Department Code included in your sales.
If you selected the Allow copy of stock item information and sales information check box in Module Preferences, after you save the stock item, the account you entered will stay in the field to speed up stock item entry.
Set Image 
If you want to attach or modify an image of this stock item, select this button to open the IN Set Image - Publish Image to Server? window. You can only add images from the Inventory module; if you access this window from another module, this button is disabled.
Purchasing Size 
Enter the unit of measurement in which you purchase the selected stock item in Purchase Order and/or Accounts Payable in the Purchasing Size box. For example, if you purchase the item by the pallet, enter Pallet. This box is for reference only.

Storing Size 
Enter the unit of measurement in which you store the selected stock item in Inventory in the Storing Size box. For example, if you store the item by the case, enter Case. This box is for reference only and the information in this box is also listed under the Measure column in the IN Available Inventory Lookup window.

Unit Package 
Enter the unit of measurement in which you sell the selected stock item in the Sales module. For example, if you sell the item individually, enter Each. This box is for reference only.

Weight 
Enter the weight of the stock item in this field. You must enter the weight as pounds. If the weight is in ounces, enter the weight as a percentage of a pound. For example, if an item weighs eight ounces, enter 0.5.
Advanced Sales Info 
This button is only active if you have Specialty Shop installed. Select this button to open the IN Advanced Sales Information window in which you can set up multi-pack pricing, coupon/buy downs, and age verification requirements for this stock item. This button is not available for serialized or lot numbered stock items.
Non-Inventory Code 
Enter a code in this field if you want to attach a Non-Inventory item to the stock item. The system automatically enters the item in the sales entry window when you sell the stock item.
If you selected the Allow copy of stock item information and sales information check box in Module Preferences, after you save the stock item, the Code you entered will stay in the field to speed up stock item entry.
Display Mode 
Use this drop-down list to determine how the image for this stock item displays when you select the Image button in this window. The option you set here will also affect the default view of the image when you select it through one of the sales entry windows.You have three options from which to choose.
Scale to Fit: This option will adjust the image to fit the default viewing window size.
Stretch to Fit: This option will allow the image to adjust when the user increases or decreases the viewing window.
Actual Size: This option provides the actual size of the image for the user and it is up to the user to adjust the viewing window to fit the image.
