BR Print Checks window
Before you post checks, print them from this window. You can print checks individually or for a specified range. For information on using transaction batches, see
Working with Batches.
Starting and Ending Ranges: Bank Account, Transaction #
Use these ranges to specify which checks you want to print. Leave the defaults of Start and End to include all values for a particular range. You can also type the values or use the Lookup to enter the starting and/or ending value to include. The descriptions for the starting and ending bank accounts you choose appear under their respective fields.
Sort By Payee Name
Select this check box if you want to print checks in order of payee name. If you leave this check box unchecked, the checks will print in order of transaction number.
Assign Check Number
If you select this check box, after you select
OK, you can enter the starting check number for this run of checks in the
Starting Check Number window. The checks are grouped by Bank Account Code and sorted by payee name (if you selected the
Sort By Payee Name check box) and transaction number.
If you don’t select this check box, the check(s) will print with the check number(s) that you entered on the individual transaction(s). If you did not enter a check number on a transaction, no check number will print. After you select
OK, the
BR Load Checks window appears.
Print Check Type
From the drop-down, select the type of checks you want to print. You can choose:
• Not Yet Printed: print checks in the batch that have not already been printed. This is the default selection.
• Previously Printed: print checks in the batch that have already been printed. This can be useful if a problem occurs during printing.
• All Checks: prints both printed and unprinted checks in the batch.
Current Printer
This field displays the current default printer. If you want to choose a different printer, select the Set Up Printer button.
Print Test
This button is only active if the Use a custom report check box is unchecked. Select this button to generate a sample check and test your printer settings.
Set Up Printer
Select this button if you want to choose a different printer or change your printer preferences.
Use a custom report
This check box is only available if you
defined a custom report for this window in Controller. Select this check box if you want to run a custom report instead of the default report. The drop-down is enabled after you select the check box and you can choose the custom report you want to run.
