What Makes the Sales Dashboard Great?

It is powerful and robust allowing you greater ability to examine your sales data in a variety of ways. You can also customize the data that is pulled into your dashboard:

  • A total of 17 different views in which to examine your sales data.
  • Date Range – choose your default date range
  • Data Size – How do you want to group your data?
  • Export and print your data using several different file formats:  pdf, .csv, .xls, .rtf, .tif, .mhtml, or xps.
  • Heat maps (color) are used to visually indicate the stronger products or customers.
  • Six mini-view charts.

So What Does the Sales Dashboard Do?

The Sales Dashboard provides you with a graphical view of your sales data pulled from the Point of Sale and/or Order Entry, Inventory and Accounts Receivable modules in CMS PRO or DENALI.

Sales DashboardFirst, you’ll see your data displayed into three main category tabs.  Within each category tab, you can continue to review and break down the category to view a specific sale, product or customer data right down to the transaction history report. The 3 main categories:

  • A Sales Summary – offers a sales overview with six new mini-views.
  • A Sales by Product – provides users with an overview of their Inventory Sales.
  • A Sales by Customer – gives a user the ability to see an overview of how their sales are doing by customer.

A Sales Summary

This tab gives you a quick view of your overall business sales, showing the total sales revenue for the time period that you choose.

In the main sales summary chart, users can drill down up to 3 levels to examine more closely a specific category:

  • Level 1 – Presents the broadest view of your actual sales revenue.
  • Level 2 –This level, using a bar chart, illustrates your sales revenue broken down by Salesperson Code.
  • Level 3 – Brings up the Sales History Report for that Salesperson.

Mini-Views

Sales Dashboard viewsMini-views allow you to view your data by product, department, salesperson, location, vendor and a sales comparison to quota, quickly. The six new mini-views:

  • The first mini-chart uses 3 gauges as the visual for a sales comparison view that tracks your sales against your projected quota per day, week, month, quarter, or year.
  • The remaining 5 mini-charts display the “Top Sales” by:
    • Product
    • Department
    • Salesperson
    • Vendor
    • Location

With the mini-view users have the ability to resort columns, expand just one to view more closely and even drill down directly to the transaction history detail.

Viewing Sales by Product

This category tab focuses on your inventory and what/how each product affects your sales.  Heat maps (colors) are used to visually point out which inventory code is selling.  Then drill down up to 3 levels to see which stock items within that category are the strongest sellers for the time-frame selected.

  • Level 1 – The default view shows which Inventory Codes are selling.
  • Level 2 – Click on an Inventory Code and that illuminates which stock items are selling within that code.
  • Level 3 – Reveals the transaction Inventory History Report for the selected item you wish to examine.

Additionally side views have been added which provide an overview of product information on price variances, inventory turnover, most profitable, and highest and lowest selling items.

Viewing Sales by Customer

The final category tab concentrates on providing you with a  Customer Sales overview.  Also using heat maps to illustrate which customers are driving sales for that time period and which are not.

Again a user can drill down up to 3 levels:

  • Level 1 – This is the default view using heat maps to highlight which Accounts Receivable (AR) Codes are strongest.
  • Level 2 – Select an AR Code and again heat maps indicate which customers within that code and date range are driving sales.
  • Level 3 – Generates the Sales History Report sorted by Customer Number for the selected item and date range.
